Something is rotten in the state of Denmark

View Long Service Leaving on noraht's travel map.

Early morning flight to Copenhagen.

Didn't do that much sightseeing in Copenhagen, took the train out to Helsinger. What is in Helsinger, but Kronbrog Slot. The castle also know as Elsinore, and home to the royal family in Denmark, which was the model for the Castle that Hamlet called home in Hamlet. Creepy in parts but well worth the price of admission. Across the channel we could see Sweden, it was raining so it was a bit misty and eerie, but it was there, so close. The castle itself was fun, we did 2 guided tours, one into the depths of the castle where they stored the food, and had the cells, very dark, a statue of Ogier the Dane slumbers in these tunnels. The upper floors tour included several stories of the royals that lived there over the years. Fascinating.

Halifax in Copenhagen for dinner, one of the places advertised on our map, Best burger experience ever. Even if my coke was like $5
